I noticed that on the Conversations page it says that user11695 left the following comment (I copied this from the Coversations page):

July 22, 2010 at 6:53 AM在英文的世界中，有小数量的人喜欢卖弄自己的文化知识，在一篇文章中写一些不知名的拉丁语或者法语的短语，大多数人觉得这样的人很可笑，可是偶尔用些比较常见的拉丁语和法语没关系的。我觉得中文一样的 ，因为NBA、MP3、CCTV、这样的词很方便，所以应该可以用，但是我也认为AOC和VDP太不常见的。中国的政府应该建立一般指导然后让编者决定哪个词可以用哪个词因该翻译。

July 22, 2010 at 2:23 AMWell, I don't see how that is possible. If standard Mandarin sounds more like Jilin and Harbin, then it must be the basis. How is it possible to have the standard not sound like the standard? Furthermore, I have heard Beijing Mandarin before, and sometimes it is hard to understand, and sounds very little like the mp3s I got from Peking University Press and so on. It must be for political reasons. Anyway, this isn't to imply that I really care. Also, if the video addresses this, then I apologize for writing the above. (I don't have a VPN now, so no youtube.)

3。我认为把从中文中这样的简略词删除有点愚蠢。
（以上都不是）
反正，我认为这个措施的目的不是为了保护中文，可是我不敢说真正的原因。

July 24, 2010 at 4:36 PM不管 is just like 无论. It means "no matter..." There is a qingwen episode out there somewhere on this, or at least there is one on 无论 if memory serves me.
