My wife ate that before while dining with me.  I'm a vegetarian, so I obviously wasn't too thrilled.

Wait, is this the ending?  I have seen it indicated by Matt and I think somewhere else that this is the ending, but it didn't feel like an ending.

One of my dictionaries said 猫打架, but I think that might be just a literal catfight and not the metaphor we are looking for.

Regarding the Metro announcement in the dialog:

Like suxiaoya, I also like hearing the Shanghai Metro announcement in the beginning.  I'm just wondering, am I the only person that thinks it is strange that the subways here say, "Please alight on the left side" instead of "Please exit on the left side"?  I feel like they are asking me to get off a carriage or something, but maybe it sounds normal in British English.  Anyway...

The funniest line I have heard in a CPod podcast in quite some time:

没有像bitch那么那么严重。

That would seem to be a reasonable estimate.  I wonder who will represent the foreigner element in Qingwen from here on out?  Perhaps a new guy?  (I'm sure they aren't prepared to answer this yet.)

I'm wondering how long we got before Pete gets filtered out of the Qingwens.  Anybody know?

Hi manleymanson

I read somewhere that the Jews that didn't leave after the Communist takeover were the ones who share Jewish and Chinese blood, and at this point they look pretty much Chinese except some subtle facial features.  So it isn't like you will see some white guy pop out and say, "Hey, I'm a Chinese Jew."  I have no idea if any of these descendants still practice Judaism.

Just thought I would say that while we wait for someone who really knows something to answer.

Got a question.

I like that 你住手 sentence.  Can I use it anytime someone is rushing too much and I think they should slow down?

Okay.  So be it.
