hello, hello, i know no one usually visits the old lessons, but i am new and starting from scratch. I have covered about 30 lessons and came across this one as confusing because of xiang. as discussed on a dear amber, everyone has tried pimsleur, as did I. and in there it states xiang is like, or want. in the dictionary that coinsides with that definition. but in this lesson it is discussed as someone missing another person. please help

since i dont think anyone roams the old lessons, and I am new, i am posting a quick question in here regarding another lesson. thank you. I had a question about dui4. Please. In one lesson dui4 a is used to answer someone elses question. But in this particular allergy lesson it says dui 对 means towards. Then when I look on the dictionary it says dui4 对 is to answer or reply, treat, to be trained, agree, compare, set, add, divide in halves, opposite, correct. Nothing like towards. So what's the deal?
