December 18, 2009 at 3:49 PMI just bought a Silk 被子 from China and I can tell you first hand that we had communication issues I started asking if she could make me a comforter she replied sorry we only have quilts which after I looked was what I call a comforter..
but I agree in Grand Rapids when you say quilt I think of an afghan-quilt or something knitted. I found its the same in Japanese if your looking for a Kakebuton is often translated quilt.
