Ethiopian Airlines has announced that investigators have found the Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) from flight ET302, which crashed Sunday.

The recovery of these recording devices from the Boeing 737 MAX 8 will allow authorities to gather crucial information about the plane’s final minutes.

Concerns about the airworthiness of Boeing 737 MAX 8s have been growing.

The Ethiopian Airlines mishap follows a Lion Air crash last October involving the same type of airplane.

The Lion Air flight went down over the Java Sea, killing all of its 189 passengers and crew.

Citing a policy of “zero tolerance for safety hazards,” China’s Civil Aviation Administration has grounded the country’s entire fleet of 97 Boeing 737 MAX 8s.

Ethiopian Airlines and Cayman Airways have also stopped operating these planes.

In an official statement, Boeing announced that because the investigation is at an early stage, it is not planning to “issue new guidance to operators.”
