According to Qatar’s secretary-general of the National Tourism Council, the country has refused to grant visas to Egyptians. This is due to on-going political conflicts. In 2017, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Egypt cut diplomatic and trade ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism.

Qatar is no longer granting visas to Egyptians due to on-going political conflicts.
Those from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain were banned from entering the country when they cut diplomatic and trade ties with Qatar in 2017, accusing it of supporting terrorism.
At an event that promoted a summer tourism campaign, secretary-general of the National Tourism Council, Akbar al-Baker firmly announced Qatar will not grant visas to those it considers enemies, visas “will be open for our friends. Are visas open for us to go there? No. So why should we open it for them? Everything is reciprocal,” Reuters reported.
Egyptians, who make up the largest Arab minority in Qatar, have not yet been recalled to their home country, unlike the citizens from the three Gulf states.
So far, Qatar has not deported any Egyptian residents.
However, the visa process has effectively been closed to most Egyptians since 2017, with exceptions for close family members of residents and for authorised events.
