Britain’s Brexit Secretary (minister) Stephen Barclay said after the announcement of the second round of “indicative voting” on April 1 that the “only option” remaining was to find a quick way to allow the U.K. to “Brexit” with a deal.

A meeting was held on the morning of April 2 to discuss how to proceed.

The second round of "indicative voting" was held on the same day in the House of Commons of the U.K. Parliament, and the four Brexit options, including the "a customs union with the E.U." and "Common Market 2.0," were voted on.

The results of the voting failed to command the support of a majority in the Commons.

The results of the indicative votes are not legally binding but will put pressure on the government.

On March 27th, the first series of "indicative votes" was held in the House of Commons.

Eight Brexit proposals, including "No-deal exit on April 12" and "Confirmatory referendum" were voted No, but none of the options commanded a majority vote.

On April 1, the Parliament debated the petition to withdraw from Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty and to stay in the E.U.

The Parliamentary website has collected over 6 million signatures on this petition, and the total number of participants in the 2016 Brexit referendum was 33 million.

According to regulations, the U.K. could unilaterally withdraw the application of Article 50, thereby maintaining its E.U.. Member State status.

The U.K. originally scheduled to “Brexit” on March 29, but both Britain and the E.U. have recently confirmed that "Brexit" has been postponed.

Since the Lower Commons failed to pass the "Brexit" agreement before the deadline set by the British and European sides, the British government must attempt to make a decision before April 12 to seek a longer delay in "Brexit" or a "No-deal Brexit."
