Hey everybody, there have been discussions before about Internet slang and new words but I wanted to bring up stuff I've been coming across recently on Chinese online forums--hope it's OK to present this as a heard it on the street post.

I'd love to get feedback such as "ah that's been legit for ages already", or "过期！ 年轻人 wouldn't be caught dead saying that these days (which is the feeling I'm getting about 给力)", my guess on the meaning is off, etc etc.

I haven't studied every single ChinesePod lesson published within the last six months. So it could be that they've already introduced us to the words I'm discovering out there. I'll run a Glossary search for everything before I post it here.
