一天一天我在日记写了，每天我起了床，做了东西，吃了东西，然后去睡觉了。 今天我觉得我应该不起床，就一直睡觉，但是我要去上班。 这是这周的第一去上班了。
离开公司的时候快到了，我感觉公司不要我，我就不要公司。 今天我好朋友告诉公司他换工作，我对他很高兴，加油加油。 我一定想他，但是这里到他的家不远，可以经常见面，和几杯酒。
明天是星期五，周末快到了。 我期待作最后的孔子，然后栅栏完到了

今天我又不去上班了，因为我无所谓。我在家里做在电脑前，我的眼睛变成方形。 我儿子都也不出去了，所以我让他们学习。
午饭我们一边吃了饭一边看电影。 电影关于李小龙有意思，我一定享受武术电影。 年轻的时候我几年学习功夫，但是我结婚了，没有钱学习。最近我学习太极拳，因为我要运动。
年轻的时候我也会射箭，我想射箭，但是我还有我的弓。可能明儿我再射箭。

今天晚上我又去上班，我的同事很高兴看又看我。请我吃午饭。十一点在英国经常叫咖啡的时候，我咖啡的时候出去看见我的上个老板。离办公室到他的家不远。她给我一些建议，给我一些朋友的贵姓。她觉得这些人可能要有人做工作。
午饭我和同事们出去吃饭。 我选辣的面，但是先一口发现我的辣的面没有辣啊 连面不辣的都很好吃。
明天是小儿子的生日，我父母要来，现在我和老婆打算派对。

祝Stephen生日快乐， 今天他是十七岁了，我们买了他一些礼物。他不是一般的儿子，他问我们生日的时候买了三本数学书。 我们送给了他数学书，但是我们也送给他两个电脑游戏。他礼物都很喜欢。
紧提那我们不忙，做一点家务，因为我父母今晚来了。 他们也带了一些礼物，他们的礼物是钱，小儿子很喜欢钱 ：-）老婆做了蛋糕，我们都唱歌，祝你生日快乐，但是他吹蜡烛得很差，要四五吹。

今天我要做晚了我的栅栏。我要做一个孔子，但是这次不太深有concrete. 作了孔子很难。 我全天工作，但是太不玩了。 我得电drill坏了，但是还不玩。 这么不满意了。 家下来天气下大雨了，所以我决定下周末玩。
我们现在做晚饭，我打算吃饭然后去上楼，坐在浴缸里一会儿。

June 06, 2011, 03:50 PMAs somebody who post in this section sometimes, I would like to say that I didn't find hpp23' s post impolite either.For my self ,I considered whether to use Lang8, but decided against it because I wanted to keep within the chinesepod community, even if I rarely get anybody who corrects my mistakes. If they do contribute I consider that a bonus, but if they do not, I dont think any the less of them.In a similar way sometimes people request help with their English etc I dont reply but it was never out of rudeness on my part, simply I dont wish to choose to do that within Chinespod.

今天我还写了简历, 我觉得我有一点怕完全的时候我要找新工作。我儿子们都也在家里,他们复习了,因为下个星期他们要考试。很重要的考试。
午饭我你们一起吃了，也在电视里看《医生谁》，然后我们都有工作。 今晚他们在楼下打Xbox游戏。我在卧室学中文，因为楼下很吵了

今天我小儿子要去了牙医，大儿子上课，因为他必须复习数学。下个星期他期末考试。老婆又上班，现代他每天上班。
大儿子离开了后，我在电脑工作，过一会儿老婆也离开了。 我和小儿子都在区别的房在电视工作。到午饭的时候我们一起吃了，看电视一会儿。
三点我和小儿子坐了在汽车，开车去了我的父母的家。我抚么的家外面停车，然后我们快看见爸爸妈妈。小儿子和我走了牙医。牙医的时候玩了，我们回来父母的家，喝一杯茶。
最后我们去了道理父母的家不愿警察办公室，因为我老婆在那里工作。他很高兴看见我们。

今天天气不太好，很多云也太阳很少。 小儿子坐在学校公共汽车去了学校。 九点差十分他给我打电话，他的课是三点半，他要我来带他回来。
下午三点我把汽车开车了学校，小儿子下车马上去了上课。 我回了家，坐在电脑前。 下午五点半小儿子又给我打电话，又要我把汽车开车接他回家。 我马上去了学校，带了小儿子，然后回了家。
回家后，就在沙发坐看一会儿电视。马上坐，老婆回到了，现在他想了我全天在电视前坐了。

Not sure if you're familiar with it, but it is great for writing journal entries (or your homework, or anything really) in Chinese. Native Chinese will correct your entire entry, giving you great feedback on grammar, word choice, etc.
I've been using it for a few weeks, mostly to do my Chinese homework, and it has really been helpful. The best part about it (aside from it being free) is that you can choose your friends based on where they live. For instance, I live in Taiwan and only choose friends who are from Taiwan. This way I can focus more on 國語 and less on 普通話.
Anyway, just thought I'd suggest it in case you aren't aware of it. It seems like your journal entries don't get a lot of corrections here.

Hi hpp23, calkins' comment is a good model for any such future recommendations you may want to make in English in communities like this. It's polite, and his tone comes across friendly and helpful. I'm guessing that English is not your first language and these more subtle things are sometimes not easy, and I assume of course that you too only meant your suggestion to be friendly and helpful.
I don't think Trevorb has ever said he wishes his writing here would get corrections. So you don't want to come across like you think he should take his journal somewhere else. This is a good, safe place for learners to try expressing themselves in Chinese, and sharing with peers. I really admire the discipline and work he's kept up with his journal.
As for Lang-8, I guess it can be really good if you're lucky enough to get good people correcting your writing. I signed up a long time ago and never got into it because I see many English and Japanese native speakers whose corrections I don't agree with. But that's just me.

My posts are normally short and neutral in tone, and I cannot see any in-politeness in my last post. Yes, English is not my first language. People are different, and so are the posts.

I didn't say your post was impolite, I said Calkins's is a good model for how to bring up a suggestion like this. Put like that, I think it's more likely to get a response. Anyhow I don't think Trevorb is under any obligation to give you a reaction.
When we use double question marks it can make us sound impatient, exasperated or incredulous despite your intention for the tone to be neutral. For future reference.

We English speakers can be a bit long winded at times though and tend to use 10 words when two would suffice, answering你会说中文吗 with Just 会 seems so... short ;-)
My wife went to college with some norwegian girls. One day one said to my wife "England is so strange in Norway if you are running for the bus and you see a friend you just get on the bus. In England you have to stop and say to your friend I'm sorry I can't talk to you I'm running for my bus."

今天我的老婆上班了，我和儿子们不离开，都在家里留下。我替老婆，洗了碗，洗了衣服，干了衣服，什么的。 我也让孩子们学校，那是很难的！
我全天在电脑工作，写我的CV。我很久在CV工作但是还没完了。我要找到工作我必须完。 明天我觉得我最后完了。
英国的天气越来越好，今天太阳很多，外面很热。 我的家里比较冷，所以我和儿子们很高兴不离开。
一会儿以前，老婆出去了。 我在电脑学中文一会儿，接下来我打算做汤衣服。
