Chinesepod owned by OpenLanguage?

I just went over to the Spanishpod site to see if there's anything new. There's a link on the top of the homepage that says the site will be going to OpenLanguage. The link says it was the company was sold to Bigfoot, and that Bigfoot sold it to the company to OpenLanguage. There's also mention of a NewConcept company.

Anyway, is Chinesepod owned by another company now, or what?

I guess I'm curious, because I'm inclined to think that if Chinesepod is owned by another company, that they will eventually begin to dictate on how it's operated, and what types of lessons are published, and so forth.

In my experience, being bought usually brings deeper pockets and a change in direction. I think we've already seen more focus on the beginner to intermediate lessons and maybe a bit less edginess. However, this isn't new news, and if you like cpod as it is now, I think most of the changes have already happened.

Yes, this happened over a year ago but I have seen very little change in what goes on here. We still maintain both sites and lesson content.
