Android Slow Performance - Library

Hi,

Nexus 7, Version 3.7.

The app's looking great, I like the new features. The only issue at the moment is the performance of the library when browsing lessons.

The performance of sorting by category, scrolling the lesson list etc is pretty poor. Apart from the library, the app runs pretty smooth.

Hi everyone,

just received an update to v. 3.8 , installed it on Galaxy Note Android version 4.1.2.

Now the App stops when being opened.

Deinstallation and reinstallation did not help.

Any hint what could be the problem?

I there a website to get the last version from?

Thanks for the update. Thought I would have solved the sluggishness without the turning-off image features, but guess not. At least you can turn off images.

Rich, I forgotten to update you. It stopped crashing and the library is still slow. It is fine on my nexus 4 but not on my nexus 7. I took your suggestion and turned off the pictures in general settings and that have solved the sluggish problem. Thanks!

Let me know if that works now (no crashing) and if the Library problem is fixed. If you still experience slowness, there is also an option in the General Settings to turn off images in the Lesson Lists.

Hi Eric. v3.8.1 (now v3.8.2 on Play store to fix some layout flaws on small-screen devices) should have fixed that. Does it work ok now?

So yes, after jogging my memory during the vacation, I did realize that images were causing a problem with loading the library lists, and so I got this fixed. Hope to have it when I get back on the 23rd.

Been on vacation back to the States, back in a week. I think I did figure out the reason for this before I left, and will be putting up a new version next week.

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. I will look into the Library lessons as there does seem to be a bit of a memory hog there with the different lesson lists available.
