February 27, 2008, 01:04 PMIt's pretty slow for us too. :( The CTO is on it.

February 07, 2008, 03:04 PMToday, it takes almost 8 seconds to download a single page which is, for the record, ever slower than the Linese website. FYI, that's intolerable and doesn't encourage participation here !

February 08, 2008, 04:37 AMStill being slow for people? Pretty fast from Suzhou right now.

February 08, 2008, 12:08 PMIt's just slightly better today (4 to 6 seconds) ... 铁eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (almost) !

February 26, 2008, 03:47 PM150 seconds per page this afternoon !!!! At this point, you should definitely be concerned about your server's speed.

February 26, 2008, 04:02 PMFor the last two weeks the log in process has been very slow for me and the pages too long to load. Today has been the slowest for me (except this discussion, interestingly). And yes, if it stays that way, I would be concerned too.

February 26, 2008, 04:10 PMI don't understand : http://chinesepod.com is always over 100 seconds per page now (in south-west Europe). but http://spanishpod.com and http://blog.praxislanguage.com are around 6 seconds per page. As Praxis, SpanishPod and ChinesePod are supposed to be be on the same server, I wonder if Cpod is slow down after the server.

February 26, 2008, 04:18 PMStill pretty slow here...

February 26, 2008, 04:28 PMIt's always been pretty slow for me. I didn't notice any difference yesterday. I just know there are some times that it gets so bad that I kinda give up on it and go do other things, which is a bad sign. (I'm on the US west coast.)

February 04, 2008, 06:11 PMI've not really noticed anything particularly today, though i must say that CPod is one of the slowest websites around generally unfortunately. It really does feel like those tone lessons!

February 26, 2008, 04:39 PMVery slow.

February 26, 2008, 05:12 PMI've noticed in the past week that if I'm trying to use the site in the wee hours here on the west coast US that it's not nearly as slow. But yep, it's *really* slow today. I'm wondering if it has to do with the number of services the site has to load every time the conversations page is refreshed. Are the things loaded to that page resident on the CP server itself, or are they loaded from sources outside CP? If full loading is dependent on servers outside of CP, then they have no control over how long it takes to get the info from them.

February 26, 2008, 05:43 PMHmm... too many people online. Alright, I'll sacrifice myself and get out (i.e. I'll stop refreshing the CPod page every 10 seconds). Let's see if one person can truly make a difference!

February 26, 2008, 06:26 PMAnyone remember the thread about being addicted to CPod? ;-) Everything but the conversations page is working fine for me.

February 26, 2008, 07:11 PMI've not noticed it being any slower than usual, but as I've said before Chinesepod is one of the slowest sites I go on on the net. I suppose it helps me follow Confucius's teachings about the virtues of patience. :)

February 26, 2008, 11:42 PMIt's pretty slow from here in Oz this morning. Maybe they're doing some of that maintenance that "nobody will notice".

February 27, 2008, 05:42 AMDownload speeds have also been unbearably slow. I've been trying to download a 10.2 MB lesson at 5KB/sec and it's taking forever. This is a new development so I doubt it's because of my connection.

February 27, 2008, 06:20 AMAt the moment, all forums and blogs are unresponsive, though the main sites and main praxis blog are the same as they've been the past few days. Something's happening. Coo-EEE!

February 26, 2008, 04:33 PMIt's been slow for me for the past week, but unbearably slow today. I wonder if it has to do with the number of CPod users online (I assume there are more CPod users than SPod users). Whatever the reason, I agree that is needs to be fixed soon...

February 04, 2008, 05:09 PMyep, but the funny thing is the mobile version has become quite fast!
