24 hour podcasts

April 01, 2009, 01:52 AM posted in General DiscussionVery soon, you will be able to access our 24/7 audio streaming of ChinesePod. Instead of going into the studio and doing all that bothersome stuff, we're going to strap microphones onto ourselves, stream it live, and just talk a lot. You can simply follow us all day long.
I've decided to call this learning on my terms. I start the ball rolling with a 24 hour session of non-stop talking about me. (I'm going to try to make sure that I do some in Chinese, too.)
There's a fair chance that I will repeat myself a lot in the recordings, but I think that's a small price to pay for 24 hour non-stop lessons. A small price to pay.
So, how will you make time to listen to the whole thing? Comments are welcome.
I've been in training for this. Video coming soon.

April 01, 2009, 07:12 AMI read the first paragraph then twittered that it was an "ambitious effort". I didn't realize the AF's implications until I was out and about.

April 01, 2009, 02:54 AMKen,
Boy is that a relief. That will save me a fortune in all the 24 hour surveillance/bugs/satellite web cams etc I've been using trying to catch pearls of wisdom and Chinese that you drop. When can I call it all off and switch to your 24 hour podcasts? Thanks mate.Oh,and btw,I think your out of milk, better pick some up on the way home :)

April 01, 2009, 04:59 AM..trying to decipher the Mandarin sleeptalking will be interesting/insightful as well as challenging.Mumbled nightmares about daft questions from Poddie babaxxxxx.... ;don't worry I won't hold it against you, given that you're a good enough sport to go 24/7.

April 01, 2009, 05:32 AMLOL! I love you guys! I needed that laugh today! Ken, you look a bit like me on some of my nightshifts! Haha...太好笑了!

April 01, 2009, 05:32 AMAre you sure you want to do some of this in Chinese? I recall the feedback regarding your tones when you used to speak Chinese in the early podcasts. ;)
It will be easier to follow a 24-hour tweetfest. Perhaps a tweet a minute might be a good rate.

April 01, 2009, 06:27 AMCan we listen to pete practicing singing Elvis ..... in Chinese?
bababardwan
April 01, 2009, 06:39 AM...hehe,yeah,but don't let Pete in on it.The audio of unedited unrestrained singing in the shower is the most natural and entertaining for mine, and the irony of singing "suspicious minds" would be delicious....
..."we're caught in a trap"....
...."我们陷入了一个陷阱"...

April 01, 2009, 06:45 AMHi bababardwan and changye
Elvis is for karaoke, Sinatra is for the shower.
And you'll never see video of me singing karaoke because there is only one rule in KTV: What happens in KTV, stays in KTV ;-)
