Anyway, I listened to the "Meat" podcast today, and I loved the line,
"Learning is multi-layered, like meat."
Well-done Jenny, you were in rare form. A sentence well-marbled and juicy with flavor and spice. A cacophony of subtle taste and whimsical flare. A Michelin 4-star.

August 08, 2007, 02:53 AMMy all time favorite (though i only listen to newbie and elementary) is, when referring to the elevator operator, and advising not to push your own buttons: "Do not usurp their power."

August 08, 2007, 02:40 PMYeah, we definitely need to pick up some quotes when she is 朱琦, i.e. in her mother tongue. Yet the problem is, I don't know when it is just a strange saying all Chinese say, or something so cute that Jenny made up on the spur of the moment. I that encourages me to listen to the advanced shows more, but then again, i think these sayings come out more when she is trying to impress her western co-hosts. ;) Ohh, so i've always have this questions: Ever since I started being a ChinesePod fanatic, I always heard about the "chipmunk" quote... yet don't recall even where it is. I am assuming it is in a Saturday Show, right? Which one? maybe I heard it when I was going through the sequentially but didn't think much of it at the time as I was trying to get a feel for Jenny's and Aric's totally different personalities. -R

August 07, 2007, 02:14 PMI still get a kick out of the first break-up lesson where Jenny says “他们可能分手了” and John responds with something like " Jenny the lesson is call the break-up. Of course they break up." Man I laughed at that for a while because she was so serious in wanting you to be on the edge of your seat to see what happens.

August 09, 2007, 03:22 PMBazza, is Jenny "simple" or "traditional"? Ha ha. How do you get to add words? You in charge of the dict?
bazza
August 09, 2007, 03:46 PMNo, anyone can add words, if you look something up that's not in, it gives you the option to add it. :)

August 08, 2007, 02:43 PMTianfeng, I laught at that break-up part too. Even before John said it, I beat him to the punch mumbling under my breath and getting strange looks out in public (well, in a sense i didn't beat him to the punch since it was all said and done before the podcast hit my player...but you know what I mean... -Rich, the Crazy Chinese Poddie who gets stared at for having imaginary conversations with Jenny (gee, maybe I should share some of those...err.. naaa)
