Searching Conversation Posts

To my knowledge, searching at CPod only works for lessons, but not for conversation posts. If this is due to a lack of tagging, then why not enable tagging for users AND expand this user tagging to lessons, too. That's one part of Web 2.0 as fas as I understand.

Any other suggestions?

I second that. I don't know how many times I've wanted to search for an old post.

I've tried a few times without much success. It must be possible somehow.

Ditto - it would be really useful! Oh, and the capability to edit our posts, please.

Another suggestion - it would make lesson search easier if the results, in addition to: Level - Lesson Title Topic: Function: Grammar: Popularity: | Ranking: ...also included the filename/numbering system. For instance: Newbie - Friends for Dinner ID: A0044 Topic: food Function: expressing_opinions Grammar: Popularity: 645 | Ranking: 0.00 And if we could do a search via the ID #, that would be helpful, as well.

Me three. I've wanted to dig up old posts on several occasions. This would really be helpful.

I asked this same question a few months ago... http://chinesepod.com/connections/viewpost/mandomikey/connect/Searching+the+conversations.... Try following AuntySue's suggestion... not quite as convenient as having an improved search tool ingrained on the site, but it does the trick.

mandomikey: AuntySue's suggestion goes in the right direction, but it still is quite cumbersome. Furthermore, the tagging issue is not solved this way - it's just an improved way to search the site.
