Hello, this is so wonderful. I was plagued with being afraid of speaking for so long. It felt like such freedom just going for it and abandoning my fears. There are always going to be the nitpickers, but I just brush it off and continue in my studies and growth. I am so proud of Chinese learners using the language. It was fun to see our users try out some Chinese with each other at our London meet up. I studied music as a child and I can see your point, as adults we want to jump to the goal line. We have heard from others about the dialogue being slowed down. We are thinking of a couple of ideas how to incorporate a slower reading of the dialogue without dragging out the lesson, perhaps separate link. I am glad to hear that you are interested in this because we are talking about ways to meet our viewers requests. I love to hear about your found confidence in speaking because I can relate, I believe many of us can.

晓得 and 知道 both mean to be aware of, to know. I would usually use them interchangeably. I lean towards the phrase 知道 as my go to.
