November 4, 2016 at 1:52 AMAll of these phrases are "textbook" phrases that you ought to know. Whether or not young people use them is beside the point. We try and teach multiple examples that you might hear all around China. If your friends say that it sounds a bit weird, ask them what would be better, and use that with them. This is the best of both worlds. You'll know formal, textbook and colloquial language and can use them all in a variety of locations and situations. We provide the tools, but you've got to use them and adjust them to your means.

November 3, 2016 at 2:36 AMIt looks like the identical sentence it too much for our exercises to deal with. Luckily there aren't too many lessons with this problem, and the job of fixing this logic will have to wait for more pressing issues. Thanks for letting us know.

November 3, 2016 at 2:32 AMThanks for spotting that. I've updated the notes and added annotations to the video. Sadly pinyin auto-generation still has a long way to go, and sometimes little mistakes slip through.

November 1, 2016 at 8:50 AMWhoops, that was the original audio for tomorrow's video lesson. I've replaced it with the correct lesson now. Hopefully we don't swear in it too much! ![]()

October 20, 2016 at 6:01 AMWe spoke to the Skritter guys, and nothing has changed on their side, so we are currently monitoring our side to see if any gremlins got into the system and messed it up.
I also use the Skritter ChinesePod lists, so am actively following this topic. Can I ask, do you happen to know if the Skritter lists published on their website as soon as the ChinesePod lesson was published? I will check if there are any problems with the next few lessons and see if our developers can find the bug and squash it.
Thanks for letting us know.

It's good to learn pronunciation tips early because it's hard to correct mistakes once they've become learned. Have a watch of a few of the lessons, and feel free to supplement them with regular lessons. Then practice speaking along with the dialogue sentences, paying attention to your pronunciation (record yourself). Then watch some more SIR lessons.
