No problem. For more help on the 4th tone, check out this video lesson from the Say It Right Series:

Ok i've fixed it now:

  • 房間裡太悶了。
  • It is too humid inside the room.
  • fángjiān li tài mēn le

In future, it's best to use the "report a mistake" feature on the left-hand side of each lesson in the leave a Suggestion dropdown. Thanks for helping out.

Good spot. The tone should be 4th when talking about feeding. The simplified character is 喂 (like the one for hello), and in traditional, it has the food radical on the side (餵)。I've updated the notes correctly. In the dialogue, I hear a short sharp falling tone = 4th tone.smile

Thanks for the feedback. The microphones are good quality, it's just that condenser mics rely on the proximity effect, where they sound really nice and warm, but you need to be within a few centimeters of the mic. By placing it on the table you lose the warmth. We could try with lapel mics, but in general these's aren't great. We will continue experimenting with different mic set-ups. Ideally we would have something like on our favourite YouTube channel

What don't you understand exactly? Is it the English, or the Chinese. Are there any words you don't understand, or is it grammar. Perhaps with some more info we can help you a bit better.

Yes there is some slight popping on this episode. I think it was digital interference and hopefully won't show up again.

Thanks for the feedback. Regarding the jumpy video, do you mean that it pauses, then plays again, or that the editing has some jump cuts in it?

If it's not loading correctly, perhaps check your internet speed with www.speedtest.net. Also, you can right-click on the video and choose a different streaming quality. If you choose "Switch to HTML5" you can watch at various qualities. Alternatively, you may download the SD version for offline viewing or slow connection speeds.

The lesson is elementary, so it wouldn't show if you had the intermediate filter on. If you just search either the title or a key word like "borrowing" in the search bar, it will show. How did you try searching for it?
