Thanks for your reply. I mostly translate the important things Fiona says during the show. I'm, worried if we added English subtitles it would distract from your chance to listening to the chinese, and also, it would focus too much on the english language students. By having one host speak in Chinese, and one in English, it allows you to ease into a Chinese speaking environment. That's why the Intermediate podcasts have always been so popular. I agree that Chinese subtitles might be helpful because then you could look up the parts that you don't quite understand.   I'll discuss this with the team. Thanks for watching ☺

Fiona is "native" in both English and Mandarin. Both are considered her 母语 mother tongue. That's what makes her such a great host. She can translate complex and/or subtle differences into both language. ☺

Thanks for the feedback. We're trying some different styles at the moment so your feedback is helpful.  The slideshow is an experimental feature, but made editing the video a lot quicker. In future I might show the slides directly in the video so users on smartphones can enjoy the lesson notes the video.
