July 13, 2015 at 12:05 AMHa Ha - English changes. English spoken today in England is a far cry from that spoken 100 years ago or even 50 years ago. English like all languages evolves, words become fashionable and unfashionable. Living abroad in Asia and the Middle East for many years I soon became accepting of the many "forms" of English I was exposed to. Right or wrong - if it is accepted as an expression and is used then it will become part of the language. Case in point "My bad"….. took me a while to get used to that American expression, but I did. :)

July 8, 2015 at 11:06 PMI lived in northern China for several years and they only used xi hong shi for tomato, however used fan qie jiang for tomato sauce. Looking at the date of this post though - I am sure you have already worked it out.
