I also can't express enough how much I LOVE the videos. Frequent video lessons are the only reason I renewed my membership, if we're being honest here.
That said, this was a great lesson. I'd have liked to see an intermediate or upper-intermediate New Year's video, but I also think it's great that something so interesting and relevant can be enjoyed by even beginners.
No matter how far I progress, videos like this keep me refreshed and motivated.

June 11, 2017 at 2:16 AMYou could try shotgun mics that are just barely out of the frame. But I think the two-AT2020 setup with one on the desk in front of each person (as we see Constance and Fiona do) is perfect, and non-distracting.
But you could definitely do this setup for the audio lessons.
Though I'm sure, after a year and a half from the original comment, you've figured it out by now.
