August 15, 2015 at 7:03 AM京华烟云 is a good one, its a bit old but I like it. Its based off a book that was originally written in english to teach westerners about chinese culture. Fictional story but laced with historically facts. "period drama" like Fiona said. haha

I like Fiona, Constance and Gwilym though, they're great teachers.
But I always liked how those Beijingers speak man, they sound like pirates with that 兒. I always wanted to be a pirate.
Chinese Pod should also have some Cantonese lessons, now that would make this the best app in language learning existence.
