June 8, 2016 at 6:30 PMNow that I gave it some more thought, what your saying makes sense. I think you can use 從...到 to function as "both" in a roughly translated way.
The more I think about it, the more confusing it gets though, lol.
Because if I said in English,
"I have everything in my restaurant from pizzas to hamburgers"
wouldnt quite be the same as saying
"my restaurant has both pizzas and hamburgers"

都有 is translating as both.
There's no need for 和 because 從...到 is serving that purpose.
You can translate it either way and it still says the same thing.

May 17, 2016 at 5:57 AMI noticed in the text something I've been wondering about. The use of the character 裏 I know this is the same meaning as 裡 and the two are pretty much interchangeable. I once ran it past a friend of mine and they told me that 裏 is more archaic and used more frequently in Hong Kong. Is this true? This is actually one of the only times I have seen it used outside of a textbook I have called 粵語教程（香港話). In fact, I noticed they used it exclusively instead of 裡 in the mandarin equivalent text. Maybe I'm not reading enough to see it frequently but I noticed 裡 is more common. Question is, if the above is true then is there any specific reason it has been used here over 裡 in the sentence "在他們店裏。。。" ？
