I also have been wondering about the 践行 in the lesson picture, (as opposed to 饯行 in the text.)

Whilst discussing this term in the podcast, (I think) John asks Jenny:-  实践的践,对吧?
She replies:-  对,但是这里的饯不是实践,这里是送,送别的意思。

Perhaps I am mistaken.

@tml17 - I have a feeling that wasn't the 便 Jenny was alluding to.

@jennyzhu,

Thank you for acknowledging my complaint about the audio review file. If all CPod employees were as diligent and coolly professional as yourself, I'm sure CPod/Praxis could truly achieve greatness. As you'll know, this kind of (small, but extremely irksome) imperfection with the audio files has been occurring on a regular basis for many weeks now. Perhaps your sound studio staff need to have a little refresher course on how to do a good job, and your 'quality control' staff also could learn a thing or two from you.

看样子老王变成一个好人太晚了。心意已决,破釜沉舟。小赵的车祸快要发生。

There should perhaps be a new Chinesepod lesson category called 'Upper Elementary' - this lesson would fit it perfectly.

The so-called 'Intermediate' level continues to be watered down. Intermediate learners have to go to the UI level now if they wish to be stretched. A good thing perhaps.

Annoying that this lesson does not appear in the search results if you try typing in "Tai Chi". You only get this one instead.

Oh well, I thought, I'll try searching by just using the word "Gong", as in 'Saved by'. Still the lesson does not appear in the search results.

Hmm... I'll just try "Saved". I thought... you can guess what happened.

Seems to me CPod would be a lot more useful if the IT department could resolve such apparently simple problems and keep them resolved.

Too right! I think I'm just gonna become a CPod nostalgic, listen to all the old stuff and 'live in the past', CPod's 'golden age'!

@miantiao

I'm glad you saw fit to apologize for the earlier unpleasantness, but to be completely honest I think you should have done so in English, (or at least in both Chinese and English.)

Seems like just about all your previous gratuitously rude and unpleasant posts were made in English, directed at a user posting in English, and matt's plea for civilized behavior was also made in English. Forgive me if I find it just a tad dishonest that you show your contrition by showing off your fluency, (thereby making it quite likely that only more advanced learners here will have any idea that you have in fact 'apologized'.)

This will be my final comment on this matter.

I think 爱人 only means wife in mainland China. I may be mistaken, but I think in Taiwan etc it does actually mean the love person who normally isn't your wife. (More logical really, what's love got to do with marriage after all?)
