zhenlijiang *bows* also *glad somebody noticed*!

Notice the image of John is from the (in)famous Radical Show, imagine Luke and Obi-wan watching that!

After listening to this lesson, it's clear to me that we need to have more about Star Wars on CPod, specifically this interesting concept that you can't really understand the US unless you've seen those movies. (Elucidation of that would make a wonderful lesson surely!) Obi-wan says: Use the Force, John!

Into my heart an air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?

That is the Land of Lost Content,
I see it shining plain,

The happy highways where I went,
And cannot come again.

Drivel duly delivered, but this is not off topic because this is actually how I feel in most bars, especially when I am required to play 'drinking games' of any kind.

Hey it was only ever your evident intellect and jaunty confidence that made you seem like a guy!

I'm teasing! Don't be mad!

I've noticed an interesting expression John introduces in the podcast, (one that seems likely to appear again.)

干掉 gàndiào  v. 〈coll.〉 kill; get rid of; liquidate
 e.g.   干掉他!   Kill him!

Another good example:

先干掉敌人的哨兵。 Kill the enemy sentry first.

看样子老王要干掉小赵,真可怕,太遗憾了。

@Matt/quality control team
Sorry but I feel I must complain again about the lack of care taken to ensure high quality sound throughout these podcasts. As so often before I notice the sound levels jumping from high to low, constantly varying between when Jenny speaks or when John speaks, (a few of John's bits are almost inaudible for me unless I increase the volume on my PC.) Don't tell me it's because John's mouth is further away from the microphone or because Jenny's voice (being female) is higher and clearer, because this is a problem that crops up again and again, and it's very clear to me when I look at the graphical representation of the sound levels in my sound editing app that the reason is quite simply that the levels have not been consistently normalized throughout the recording. As anyone can do this with even the most basic cheapo sound editing software it beats me why you can't with (presumably) more sophisticated equipment.

Ragyo, hmm... time for a name change haircut again!

Anyway I liked your old hair, but I know you girls will give up anything for a diamond ring!

Okiedoke, I'm off my horse, but I'll keep the armor on. You're a trifle on the sensitive side damon, this hopefully is a place where different voices may be heard, different views may be expressed. It was not my intention to offend you, simply to express another view. Anyway thanks for your input, and have a nice day.
