I would say that 干吗 and 干嘛 are interchangeable. They both have the same meaning which is something like 'what are you up to' in an informal way:

你干嘛呢?

or 'why on earth' or 'whatever for' if used like an adverb:

你干吗不去?

It's a way for me (and others) in China to access it, don't worry. (There are many websites which are blocked by censors in China, your chosen file hosting site seems to be one of them!)

Ah, I see, it's just blocked if you're in China (as I am). Poddies in China will need to access it in a different way.

I still think it might be best to try and turn it into a web page.

Sounds to me like you just need to select Share and then select 'publish as web page'. You can also opt to automatically republish the document if you change it.

Once its been 'published', it will have its own unique web address which you can safely share with anyone.

PS. Your link above doesn't seem to be working.

Connie, 你怎么能扔好吃的番茄呢?真讨厌!Nǐ zěnme néng rēng hǎochī de fānqié ne? Zhēn tǎoyàn!

@pete - where does that love/fear thing come from dude? I like it. Why do I get the feeling that you'd enjoy the songs of Laurie Anderson? Perhaps you already do!

我最讨厌在车上吸烟的人。
Wǒ zuì tǎoyàn zài chē shàng xīyān de rén.
I really can't stand people who stand on the bus.

Oops! Connie can't stand people who do what on the bus? There is always more room on the bus in China! (Meaning the driver will always stop to let more people on even if those already on board are squashed together like sardines in a can!)

Of course actually Connie cannot stand people who smoke on the bus! (And neither can I!)

Actually I've been putting together a transcript of the podcast for this lesson. Perhaps it will be useful or interesting for some.

In any case it's fairly rough, and there are sure to be mistakes or inaccuracies. It's the first one I've done at this level, so pardon me if it's not perfect! (In fact these things often turn out to be a work in progress, and feedback, suggestions or queries are welcome in the appropriate thread here.)

Thanks go to mikeinewshot for his excellent word list and his keen ear.
