January 14, 2014 at 1:51 PMi know this was a newbie qingwen but i noticed it in the qingwen from the week before, vera keeps switching from chinese to english. i would suggest in the future if she is the only chinese co-host on qingwen that she speaks only chinese And greg/tom translates when necessary. this is a good way to test listening skills. i hate the injection of random english words and phrases in the middle of chinese

December 28, 2013 at 4:15 PMThere are two translation errors I've noticed in this lesson. One is in the dialogue "反正任何非生活必需品都不能有" which is translated as "Anyway, you can't have anything that's necessary for living." It should be "anything that's not necessary for living."
Also in the expansion section " 所以养成了孩子依赖父母的习惯" which is translated as "so the children grow up relying on their parents' habits" but I think is more accurately translated as "so children develop the habit of relying on their parents"

December 20, 2013 at 10:45 AMi've been told by a chinese friend that its also can be used jokingly when someone says something critical abt u like when someone says, as chinese often do, you' re fat and u can say 人艰不拆，which can mean "i already know that, u dont need to mention it again"
