Man, this girl is the architect of her own demise. After being falsely accused of giving 'favours' to the pagent sponsors by the other girls, she decides to go out and date one... I imagine there are several good Chinese idioms for 'reaping what you have sown.'

Jenny says in this lesson that sometimes the girls like to take English or Japanese names to sound more sophisticated. But my Chinese girlfriend tells me that there is actually a lot of anti-Japanese racism in China... so it would be very uncommon for someone to want to have a Japanese name. What do you think?
