I gladly help tose students, I am willing to correct their excercises, but I won't do their assignments!

I think one can say 下下星期 (xiàxià xīngqī) for weeks. Is 下下次 (xiàxià cì) possible as well?


I appreciate the point about 没有了 (méiyǒu le)!

Thank you for your good words! I know the quote occurs in Top Gun, but everybody has watched that. Surely there is an older occurence. I'll keep searching. Right now I'm searching in my Bond-memories.

I understood your comment as good natured and funny. It was just me who was in a dark mood.I meant that because recently life is hard, it might be tempting to learn something interesting and than be killed. (I trust you would use a classy method of killing, such as swordfight). But as long as there are still people needing me, I have to carry on. I didn't want to cause you troubling thoughts. I guess I counted on you not taking it seriously :-)

So the sentence I was trying to formulate was

"Interesting! Recently life's too hard, but if people need the mountain man's help he can not rest"

If I were to specify my question, I would intuitively say:

你学中文多久了?

(Nǐ xué zhōngwén duōjiǔ le?)

Would
你学中文了多久?

(Nǐ xué zhōngwén le duōjiǔ?)

also work?
