Here in Montreal, Canada... and many other places in Canada, laundromats are everywhere. Reason: most buildings/apartments were built before the invention of washing machine/dryer and there is no where to put them, even if you found a place, there is no water connection or exit for the dryer's air. So many will resort to go to the laudromat.

Wow I am so surprised to hear this personnal hygiene phobia about Chinese... especially their clothes... not having a dryer means that most let them hang in there to dry for days and they end up smelling so strong the mildew that forms.... I think they should get a microbiology class and learn where and how bacteria develops.... hi hi hi.... cant stand that mildew smell that sometimes fills up the whole apartment....

So how would you ask a question with 看起来像 or just 像 to ask a question such as : What does he look like?

Thanks... so for picking up someone I don't know for which I have no interest in their look, just need to know in order to find them I would ask: 他长什么样?Right? Just making sure...

Which brings me to... you don't have any lesson about it???!!!

I'm hearing from Chinese that you would only use this expression 长得 if you are interested in someone... like how does this boy/girl look like... he/she is cute... type of conversation... you would not use it if, for example, someone asked you to pick up someone at airport and you were asking what they looked like...? Is that right?
