Is there a reason why 嗓子 is used instead of 喉咙 or 咽喉 for throat? I would normally say 喉咙疼. Thanks.

Having watched the movie in 3-D, I'll say that the 2-D version is quite pointless, as the only thing good and original about the movie is the 3-D visual effects.

I read (on news) that only 3-D version of Avatar is allowed in China, 2-D version has been banned. Is this true?

Regarding 副, what other "pair" of things can it be a measure word for, other than glasses, gloves and earrings. What about shoes, socks, chopsticks? Thanks.

Hi Vera, I was actually asking about "脱掉", whether I can use it in place of "解开". Thank you.

我发现了在上海,一碗盖浇饭比一杯星巴克咖啡还便宜。

(I discovered that in Shanghai, a bowl of rice is cheaper than a cup of Starbucks coffee.)

BTW, isn't a couple only legally married in the country in which they've registered their marriage? So a couple who was married overseas, then moved to China (eg for work) but did not register their marriage in the local marriage registry, would technically be in a 同居 situation right?
