When I got to the last line of the dialogue, I suddenly wondered why he said:

我们先去吃饭

and not

咱们先去吃饭

I noticed that in many previous lessons, 咱们 was used to refer to both parties. Any idea?

This is a bit off-topic, but I find that 要 is also confusing when used to mean "to want". For example, what is the exact difference between 要， 想 and 想要 , when used in a sentence like :

我 _ 喝茶

I thought evolution is an observed phenomenon (even before Darwin) and what Darwin gave us was the Theory of Natural Selection to explain evolution. To say one does not believe in evolution is akin to saying one does not believe in observed facts. Makes no sense.

Just because Chinese people are descendants of the latest waves of humans from Africa does not preclude the possibility that they "mixed" with Homo Erectus that arrived earlier. This would explain distinctive Chinese facial characteristics as well as skulls found in Jinnuishan and Dali from 200,000 years ago, that combined both H. Erectus and H. Sapiens features. Similarly, modern Europeans have some Neanderthal genes in them (recently confirmed).

I thought 托 means to lead/guide someone by the hand，and to support someone with your hands would be 扶. So why is it not 我会扶着你的 in the dialog?

Does using 儿子 mean that they definitely know that the baby is a boy, or is it just a generic term for a child?

Hi,

I have a few quick questions, hope someone here can clarify.

Does the 藏 in 收藏 imply that the exhibit is hidden from the public? Can I use 收集在博物馆 instead?

Is 鉴定 the same meaning as 证明 ?


I'm also a bit confused why 这纸张 was used instead of 这张纸, I thought 张 was the measure word.
