July 14, 2010 at 10:50 AMIs 究竟 exactly identical to 到底? Is it just as commonly used? Somehow, I find 究竟 doesn't flow as smoothly from the tongue as 到底.

July 14, 2010 at 10:34 AM原来是梁静茹唱的。
I love songs by 梁静茹 (Fish Leong). I think she was born in Malaysia, one of the best singer from that country in my opinion.

July 8, 2010 at 2:20 AMThe world's 6 billion+ people can't all survive on "organic" products alone. Only genetic engineering offers any hope of feeding the world and at the same time reducing pesticide use.
" people are too lazy to grow their own food " is a bad argument. Most people (except farmers) do not specialize in agriculture but in other economic activities. Its called division of labor.

July 7, 2010 at 8:28 PMYou can't feed the world like that. All this "organic" stuff is just for the few rich people who can afford it.
The sustainable and feasible only way to reduce fertilizer and pesticide use is to genetically engineer plants that are tough and resistant to pests.

August 4, 2010 at 3:31 AMIs 农民工 only used to refer to peasant farmers who moved to the cities to do labor work? What about other types of migrant workers, such as foreign domestic helpers or multi-national expats?
