hi arthas86, In some cases, 也 (yě) and 还 (hái) are interchangeable, meaning 'also' or 'in addition', i.e.: 他会日语，还会韩语。 Tā huì Rìyǔ, hái huì Hányǔ. He can speak Japanese, and can also speak Korean. 他会日语，也会韩语。 Tā huì Rìyǔ, yě huì Hányǔ. He can speak Japanese, and can also speak Korean. However, in some cases, 还 (hái) carries the meaning of 'still' or 'what else', as in: 你们要包子和饺子，还要别的吗？ Nǐmen yào bāozi hé jiǎozi, háiyào bié de ma？ You want steamed buns and dumplings. Do you want anything else? In this case, you could not use 也 (yě).

hi TaiPan, If you mean qīn as in 'kiss' (亲), it's kinda like the physical ability to kiss the other person, as in: 你太高了，我亲不到。 (Nǐ tài gāo le, wǒ qīn bùdào.) You're too tall, I can't kiss you. (as in, can't reach so the kiss is unattainable!) or: 他弯下来才亲得到我。 (Tā wān xiàlái cái qīn dé dào wǒ.) He is only able to kiss me if he bends down.

Hi AuntySue, 我是中国人 (Wǒ shì Zhōngguórén) In Chinese, 中国人 (Zhōngguórén) is a noun, literally "Chinese person." It's different than how we say in English, "I am Chinese."

hi Tsuchiyayoshihiro, 挑剔 (tiāoti) is first tone, neutral tone. When read out, the neutral tone here can sound a little like fourth tone, but it's technically neutral tone.

hi Bazza, 等候 (děnghòu) is the time when the car is stationary, i.e.: 堵车、红绿灯等时间。 (dǔchē, hóng-lǜdēng děng shíjiān.) traffic jams, waiting at red lights 含电调费 (hán diàn diào fèi) means the price that is listed includes the pre-booking fee. 含 (hán) means "to include".
