hi darylk, You can say: 真是让人恶心。 (Zhēnshi ràngrén ěxin.) That's a real turn off.

yes, well, oddly enough, the only swear words I know in Chinese were taught to me by Dave/aka trevelyan! ;)

hi nelfie, The 啊 (a) on the end of the second sentence is just an "语气词" (yǔqìcí), which is a mood particle. It doesn't have any meaning. Hmm, maybe a less strong way of saying 'get lost' would be, 'please get lost', haha: 请走开 (Qǐng zǒukāi) Or, the other way to do it in Chinese is by giving some subtle hints, i.e.: 你认错人了。(Nǐ rèncuò rén le.) You've got the wrong person. 我不认识你。(Wǒ bù rènshi nǐ.) I don't know you.

I just want to explain ahead of time that the bleeped out part of the banter when I am speaking was NOT a swear word, haha, but rather, what I said gave too much away, so Dave censored me.
