June 13, 2007 at 1:35 AMhi henning, Actually, you could say that sentence in two ways. The meaning is the same. 1) 她总是把错误赖在弟弟身上。 (Tā zǒngshì bǎ cuòwù lài zài dìdi shēnshang.) This sentence uses the commonly used pattern "在......身上" (zài....shēnshang), in this case it indicates where the blame is placed. So, if you leave out the "身上" (shēnshang) you also have to leave out the "在" (zài). Meaning, the other way to say the same sentence would be: 2) 她总是把错误赖给弟弟. (Tā zǒngshì bǎ cuòwù lài gěi dìdi.) Here are a couple more example sentences to show you some other cases where we use "在......身上" (zài....shēnshang): 真倒霉，为什么不好的事情总是发生在我身上。 (Zhēn dǎoméi, wèishénme bù hǎo de shìqing zǒngshì fāshēng zài wǒ shēnshang.) 当机会落在你身上的时候，你一定要抓住。 (Dàng jīhuì luò zài nǐ shēnshang de shíhou, nǐ yīdìng yào zhuāzhù.)

June 11, 2007 at 9:05 AMhi dadap, You might just have to explain in detail to them what exactly you do and don't eat. Those terms are not very common in China. So, you can try this: 我是素食主义者。鸡蛋，牛奶也不吃。 (Wǒ shì sùshízhǔyì zhě. Jīdàn, niúnǎi yě bù chī.)

June 11, 2007 at 5:25 AMhi LostinAsia, 1) The Chinese equivalent for having a spare tire, is as in our dialogue "救生圈" (jiùshēngquān). The real word for spare tire (备胎 bèitāi) is strictly used for just that, a real spare tire. 2) You can say: 今天有勁 (jīntiān yǒujìn)
