hi pinkjeans,

To speak of the action of 'modelling', you will often hear people use:

走台 or 走秀,
Zǒu tái or zǒu xiù

Yes, please, everyone, add anything we missed.  It's my minimalist nature hehe.  Even in Canada I only ever had one knife...

I know another good dish you can make here stovetop and in a wok, and the ingredients are pretty much available: Risotto!

hi ardillachina,

说 (shuō) and 讲 (jiǎng) both mean 'to speak, to say', as in:

你会说中文吗?
(Nǐ huì shuō Zhōngwén ma?)

你会讲中文吗?
(Nǐ huì jiǎng Zhōngwén ma?)

and can pretty much be used interchangebly, however there are some set phrases that use 讲 (jiǎng), not 说 (shuō):

讲笑话 (jiǎng xiàohua) to tell a joke
讲故事 (jiǎng gùshi) to tell a story

hi congzibide,

Yes 再 (zài) means 'again', 'once more', or when used in combination with 来 (lái) as in this dialogue, 'bring another'.

别的 (biéde) means 'other', i.e. 别的东西 (bié de dōngxi) 'other things'.

hi rash,

A person is called a 海归 (hǎiguī) because he is a 从海外归来的人 (cóng hǎiwài guīlái de rén).  Nothing really to do with a turtle, other than the sound-alike characters.
