But i often think how fortunate it is when you think of sheer size of the population, that whatever the reason, on an individual level the Chinese are quite conservative of resources. Be it using electricity conservatively, recycling, reusing, not wasting water, etc...

Here it is in a sentence: 他思前想后，下不了决心。 Tā sīqiánxiǎnghòu, xiàbuliǎo juéxīn. He pondered over it, but couldn't come to a resolution. To say 'can't make up one's mind', you can use: 拿不定主意 (Nábudìng zhǔyi)

March 14, 2008 at 1:41 AMhi bento, My best guess would be: 沒有奔逃的人, 因为他們怕了. 人怕因为奔逃了 (Méiyǒu bēntáo de rén, yīnwèi tāmen pà le. rén pà yīnwèi bēntáo le) No one runs away because they are afraid. People are afraid because they run away.
