The meaning does change if you add 还 to the sentence. 

When you say 我没吃饭, it means you didn't eat; and as for 我还没吃饭, it means you intend to eat but you haven't eaten yet, so there is a difference between these two sentences.

In the video, we did mention that 这家餐厅关了 can be "This restaurant is closed for today" or "This restaurant is shut down". I feel like 这家餐厅关门了 can also be either one of the cases, so it really depends on what the context is.

Despite the fact that so many people are using these two words interchangeably, the truth is there is not such a word "需知".

须知 means that this is something you must know, whereas 需知 although it is not grammatically correct, you can also say that it is something you need to know but not that urgent or important as the previous term.

带了件衣服 should be much more accurate, since "you brought clothes for me" is a completed action. 带了件衣服 would be better than 带件衣服 in this case.

Sorry I made a mistake. The pronunciation of 喜欢 should be xǐ huan. So "huan" would be a neutral tone in this case.

Both of them means dogs, I think you can say that 犬 and 狗 it is like the difference between a canine and a dog.
