First of all, thanks for asking the question. It is actually quite confusing when identifying a four-character phrase is a 成语 or not. 成语 is usually made out of four characters (there are some 5, 6, 7 characters 成语 as well), and it always contains a nugget of wisdom that is related to an older story.
In this case, 人到中年 means a person in his/her middle age, so this is definitely not a 成语. The meaning of the whole sentence is, A person is already in his/her middle age 已经人到中年.

October 25, 2019 at 4:41 PMNowadays, 师父 is used to call those experts or teachers that specialized in traditional artistry or handicrafts and even kungfu, 师傅, on the other hand, is someone that is an expert or is really good at their jobs. The most common one would be 司机师傅, which is how you call a taxi driver.
