November 25, 2007 at 11:25 PMI know how to use 离 to ask how far in my dialect. But for the life of me, I can't figure how to say the Mandarin equivalent without adding "多少“ to the question (离多少 pattern). What's the simplest way to say how far in Mandarin?

November 19, 2007 at 9:26 AMI have to confess that I thought this was going to be a disappointing lesson given that 越来越 was covered in Li Yan's Diary a two weeks ago. Of course I should have read the lesson introduction first to get an idea of the lesson. I ended up enjoying the 越 a 越 b pattern very much. It's very educational.
