April 14, 2012 at 2:36 PMYes, quite rare I think. Over the last 2 years in Shanghai, I've seen more western male/chinese female couples than I could count. I think I've seen 2 western female/chinese male couples. We are happening, though. I suppose you have seen speakingofchina.com?

April 10, 2012 at 11:40 AMOh, taobao. My guilty pleasure. Taobao caters really well to lazy people like me. The shipping is normally cheaper than the metro fee I would pay if I were to pick it up myself. I like to cook, so a lot of what I buy is food.
Also, the vocab in this lesson is right on. Good job, guys! 拍，亲，有货/没货 are definitely some of the most frequent vocab I see. 东东 is also fairly common.
