December 14, 2008 at 4:36 AMThis is what I found in the dictinonary:
ting hua ting sheng luo gu ting yin
when you listen to someone's talk, you must judge by his tone
when you listen to drums and gongs, you must catch the rhythm
the words are the criterion of the man
the words are the mirror of one's mind
ting hua ting yin
listen for the meaning behind sb.'s words
when you listen , listen to the speaker's tone of voice

October 5, 2008 at 3:19 PMentering the fray for the first time. What a lively conversation from the QW team! I learned some new words like workahlic, marathon, mysterious. But I really miss Connie's contribution to the Comments Column of her list of sentences during the QW conversation. So I look forward to reading her forthcoming list pretty soon. I intend to become a regular fan of the QW team.
