I've never actually done this before on my electronic dictionary - I just discovered if you input the traditional form it reads it okay and brings up the simplified form. Tried it on a few characters. Then I can't see how to get it to give you the stroke order of the traditional form - there maybe a control I don't know about or my dictionary is defaulted to simplified. But at least I can write a traditional character and it reads it okay. The traditional form then sits on the screen in brackets after the simplified form.
Does this answer your question okay?
Of course in online dictionaries like mdbg and nciku it shows you the traditional form - I currently don't have handwriting recognition on my iPod so I can't test it there.

June 26, 2011 at 5:50 AMHa ha .. haven't watched it yet, waiting for a rainy day. We watch about 10% of the DVDs we buy, the pile just grows and grows. I just like chatting to the DVD guy, and his daughter, and his wife, and his mother 等等 。。 :)

Just bought this DVD tonight .. don't ask me why, thought it might be instructional. Even the characters are 台湾有关的, 对吧？
Anyway I want to echo the thoughts already expressed above - we have really appreciated your time here at ChinesePod, you've done a top job. And you transitioned to the studio jobs like a champ. All the very best in Taiwan - can't help but be totally supportive of someone who wants to try something new. Hope you keep in touch in the ChinesePod community though.

If 差了 here means to have lost business, it would be because a new shop opened recently - I don't understand the function of 原来 either.

But I wasn't sure if the system continued or not for high ranking officials. A good friend of mine's grandfather is in this 离休 category and the family refers to him as being "rich". He was originally in the military too.
