April 12, 2012 at 8:40 AM7-Eleven may come from the U.S., but it is no longer a U.S. company, strictly speaking. It, and Lawson, have both been bought out by Japanese companies and now exist as Japanese owned companies. 7-Eleven had its origins in Texas, and Lawson in Ohio.
