今天老师问我“玛秋琳, 你已经穿着冬天的衣服, 冬天来的话怎么办?”, 告诉她:冬天就去香港。 不用说南京已经冷了,穿了好多衣服!我怕冷。哈哈 :)。

:-) Ah I see, excellent name for that! Think many will recognize this.

Do you have any thoughts on what the rationale behind this behaviour is? Besides being polite, I was told this is related to the perception of " Chinese being the most difficult language on earth".

I am with xiaophil and I enjoy reading your comments.

What exactly is "monkey syndrome"? Is this using something blindly without knowing the story behind it or use properly?

Thought about "Chengyu's with Channy", but that just did not have the same feel to it :-) Plus I would not even dare to compare myself with Changye! But he is missed for sure!

Hi John & others

Just out of interest, how does Cpod decide which languages is high frequency? I am far from being an expert but I have the feeling that (some) chengyu's are used quite often (in daily life).

Are Cpod's lessons based upon (statistical) evidence and / or experience used. How to decide what language goes in a lesson (or not)? Or is this asking for a cook's secret? :-)

I am "pro chengyu" and think this could be the new "Poems with Pete"! :-) . Think this is an opportunity for Cpod to teach history, culture and language in one go and suitable for large public. So many colourful ones that could make people really enthusiastic about their Chinese studies.
