July 17, 2009 at 11:54 PMIt's Saturday today, but I woke up too early this morning. So I was very happy to find that today's lesson had already been uploaded. The proverb "The early bird catches the worm" (早起的鸟儿有虫子吃) seems to be true. My chubby dog is also happy to have an early breakfast today, hehe.

I agree with you. Posting a thread (or drivel) about a commenting rule once a month might be much more effective than showing the official comment policy by Chinesepod.
I guess the announcement in the podcast and Matt's subsequent input here have already had effects on our behavior

Very good point. And interestingly, you just say "不用谢" （You are welcome/My pleasure）, but you don't say "不用谢谢".

The "是" is left out in the first sentence. The "是～的" structure is often used when asking/answering about time, place, method etc for something happened in the past or something ongoing.
你是什么时候来的？ When did you come?
我是昨天来的。 I came yesterday.
