I think so too. “人家” (ren2jia) is not "noun + suffix", but a personal pronoun. I guess it might be a secondary meaning of the noun “人家” (ren2 jia1, other people's house, dwelling).

Both 洗手间 and 卫生间 are also used in a private home, which sound less straightforward than 厕所 does.

Your post reminds me of an American professional wrestler "Classy Freddie Blassie", who was very popular in Japan in 60s. His "file teeth" performance was well known in Japan then.

虽说日本大学“宽进宽出”，但是当代日本大学生活没有以前那么放松。过去二十年中日本经济一直不好，家长收入渐渐减少，从而父母每月给孩子寄送的钱也越来越少，结果产生“大学生非打工不可”的现象。我年轻的时候日本大学生打工的主要目的是为了挣娱乐费，与此相反，现在不少日本大学生为了“生存”而打工。

“夏威夷” is a word that was transliterated based on the sound system of a southern Chinese dialect, probably Cantonese, as is often the case with foreign words in Mandarin. The Cantonese reading of “夏威夷” is “ha-wai-i”.

In addition to that, “人家” (ren2jia) can mean both "other people" and "he/she"......!!
