I have to agree with you. It seems I shouldn't have said bad things about Haibao. Let me "hesitantly" introduce you guys the official mascots of Aichi Expo held in Japan in 2005. You can see them on the left side of the photo you uploaded. Oh my dog ....

April 21, 2010 at 7:26 AMTo be honest, the mascots for the Beijing Olympic Games seem to be much better than the Shanghai Expo mascot "Haibao". I didn't expect that Shanghai to be less sophisticated about art and design than Beijing is. I hear "Haibao" was created by a Taiwanese designer.

What do you think about “海尔兄弟” (Haier brothers), the mascot of the Chinese giant white goods manufacturer “海尔集团” (Haier group) ? They don't wear a monokin, but their swim shorts are not so bad either. In my eyes, 海宝 is as "attractive" as 海尔兄弟!

Yeah, this lesson is rather challenging .... even for native speakers in some ways. At least my Chinese boss, 55 years old, wouldn't understand what the lesson is about, hehe.
