Hi Chinesepod! I feel somewhat hesitant to say "不谢" although I know this phrase sounds natural in China. So I always use "不用谢" for "My pleasure."

Hi Chinesepod! Thanks to everyone's posts, I have learned a lot of versions of answers, including superstring theory, to one of the most traditional / difficult questions. I wish I had known them when I was a young father.

Hi Chinesepod! Japanese parents "traditionally" play a joke on their intrigued children by saying, "We found you under the bridge." It seems a bridge is much better than a garbage can for your birth place. Anyway, you can't avoid telling the truth forever.

Hi Chinesepod! I've just come back from Japan and luckily found the right topic for me. Let me complain about my round-trip ticket to Japan. I bought it for 6,200 yuan here in China. But you can get the same ticket for only 4,000 yuan from a travel agent without difficulties in Japan. Is this because China would like to attract more foreign tourists?
